We stayed at The Birches for three nights while exploring the NC500 route. The owner, Ishbel, was incredibly friendly and gave us great tips for the surrounding areas. The room was recently refurbished to a high standard and very clean. The comfortable bed and tasteful decor made for a cozy stay. The location by the loch provided beautiful views, and the outdoor seating was perfect for enjoying a drink. Breakfast was delicious, with options tailored to our preferences. We would definitely stay here again in the future!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The idea to include an electric kettle and glassware in the triple room was nice. It had a stunning location really close to the Scottish highlands, and Ullapool. It also was on the areas around.

Clean, comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Stunning view of the countryside and Loch Broom. Peaceful location surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.
The location is quite remote, so pre-planning for dinner is necessary. Limited dining options nearby, with the nearest town being a 30-minute drive away.
